A very RARE Aesthetic Sterling Silver Pierced Serving Spoon/Fork "Spork". This amazing Victorian period multi use spoon/fork/spork serving piece features a beautiful aesthetic bright-cut floral design pierced spoon bowl with 5-tine fork tips on the end in EXCELLENT condition. The serving "spork" measures 7.5" long, serving bowl is approx 3" long and 2" wide. It has NO MONOGRAM making it a perfect gift idea for yourself or someone special. The hallmark on back is a knights helmet with feather plume STERLING Pat. I am honestly stumped on this one but the knights helmet hallmark I believe could be an early Simpson Hall Miller or International Silver Co. piece but can't confirm it since I've never seen either with out a shield under helmet but since it only has "Pat." and no date maybe one of their very early sterling pieces. Either way it's a stunning designed serving piece sure to be a conversation piece and envy of others at your holidays, dinners or parties. It has been carefully washed leaving the nice warm silver patina with VERY MINIMAL surface wear (as should be expected considering the age of the spoon....it adds to the character). I NEVER BUFF OR USE MACHINE POLISHING, after all I know most people prefer these vintage pieces to look natural and NOT NEW. As always I leave a final polishing decision to the buyer.
