Description
Up for bid is an original hollow handle dinner knife with a plated blade in the popular VIOLET pattern by Wallace, introduced in 1904. The knives are 9 3/4 inches long, with original wide silverplated carbon steel blades and filled sterling handles. The knives are all monogrammed “D” as shown. They are marked with the old Wallace trademark and “STERLING” at the handle joint.
Condition on the knives is quite good. There is very minor plate wear-through at some of the blade edges. The handles are tight and rattle free, with just normal signs of use. Some fine old knives in a popular old pattern!
