Description

Presented is a handsome set of 12 dinner sized knives from Germany. This set has a lovely ribbed and scroll pattern along the handles. Each knife has a great large stainless steel blade. This set is marked on the junction of each knife with the German crescent moon and crown mark for .800 purity silver and the press mark for Wilkens & Sohne which dates the set likely between 1920s to 1950s. The majority of the blades are marked Sheffield Stainless Blade, made in England. These knives are in great overall condition. There is slight wear to the pattern details. Five of the knives have a dent or two to the handle ends and a few has a slight separation between the blade and the handle. Both of these issues are minor and do not affect the function and usability of the pieces. Any marks on the blades seen in the first photo are reflections and not wear.
