Description
Presented is a beautiful Gorham serving fork from the early 1900s. This piece is in the Margarette pattern, which was patented in 1901. The pattern displays beautiful Art Nouveau daisies and foliate along the front and back of the handle. Because of the curve of this piece, is is probable that this server use to have a part of a salad serving pair. The bowl has a nice gold wash on the front and back. There is a monogram on the front of the handle, “JMK” and “MRK”, in flowing script. This piece is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for Gorham and a patent date. The fork is in great condition. The pattern details are crisp. The gold wash does wear on the high points, especially on the back, but overall it is still in good shape. There are no breaks or splits, and no repairs. Measurements: 10 1/8 inches Weight: 104 grams or 3.5 ounces -kc Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
