Description
Presented is a heavy, solid sterling silver serving fork made during the mid 19th century. The fork was retailed by George A Mudge & Company, which was in business between 1855 and 1870. The thick tines are done in an interesting, pointed trident form. The back of the handle is finely engraved with a crest of a rampant lion over the letter S.
