Antique Hanau German Silver Dutch Colonial Style Huge Salad Serving Fork Spoon Presented is an antique, German silver salad serving fork and spoon set made by Schallmayer of Hanau during the last quarter of the 19th century. This set is done in a classic Dutch Colonial style and was made around the 1890s. This is a large and very ornately cast set. Each piece is done in an openwork form and is decorated with detailed cherubs or putti, flowers, leaves and faces. Each piece is bears Hanau pseudo-marks, 800 for the silver purity and a maker's mark for Schallmayer. This set is in great overall condition and the designs are crisp.
