Description

This vintage Gorham serving fork is a beautiful addition to any collection. Made of solid sterling silver (.925), it features a Japanese or Japanesque design in the highly sought after and rare Hizen pattern. The fork has a lovely, intricate pattern that adds a touch of elegance to any dining set. Dating back to 1850-1899, this antique fork is a unique piece of history. It would make a wonderful gift or a great addition to any antique silverware collection. The fork is in good overall condition, with only wear and tear commensurate with age. It is sure to impress anyone who sees it. This fork weighs approximately 2.94 ounces and measures approximately 9 3/8" long and 2 3/16" wide at its widest point. The wear from gentle use over the last + or - 140 years consists of two of the fork's tines have been worn down and one is slightly bent. There is some wear to the silver bowl surrounding the bright cut bird. This piece has been loved and used by its owners over that period of time. Please review the photos carefully.
